
McLOUD – The McLoud Redskins’ season opener went according to plan, beating U.S. Grant 38-6 last Friday.
In the dominating performance, Redskins’ running back Clint Campbell racked up 127 yards on 14 carries, along with two touchdowns on the ground. Campbell wasn’t done as he factored into the passing game, hauling in three passes for 70 yards and a score.
Collin Gibson’s first appearance in the red and white was a success. Gibson tallied 262 total yards (108 passing, 154 rushing) and three touchdowns (one passing, two rushing).
The Redskins recorded two safeties in the win.
McLoud (1-0) and Bethel (1-0) are set for a 7 p.m. kickoff Friday.
