Rain or shine, the move continues. The Pottawatomie County Museum and Historical Society continue to transition to their new home at the Paul and Ann Milburn Center.

While many items are already inside their new home, Museum Director Ken Landry said there are a few items still to be moved.
One item still on the list, is a 10-foot Alaskan Brown Bear donated by N.W. ‘Wilson’ Baptist. The bear was proudly displayed in Baptist Athletic Supply from 1967 until the business closed in 2013.

Although not currently open to the public, Landry speculated the museum would have a ‘soft’ opening for donors and member in four to six weeks.

The Board of Directors of the Pottawatomie County Museum and Historical Society are seeking donors in various areas of the museum. For more information on becoming a member or how to donate, call (405) 275-8412 or email ken@pottcountymuseum.org or visit www.pottcountymuseum.org.
