SHAWNEE – Worrel’s Haven will host Serenity Fest from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Boy Scout Park. Serenity Fest is a community event focused on celebration of National Recovery Month.
There will be prize giveaways and face painting and a live band. Hot dogs and water will be provided.
Testimonials will be given at 5 and 6 p.m.
Now in its 31st year, National Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives.
